OK, OK, I know the dusty rose look is so fall 2015 (at least according to Korean beauty gurus), but it’s been a bit chilly and rainy over here in Nanjing…which is perfect for this everyday makeup. Paired with a bright gradient lip, rosy-brown eyeshadow turns this look into something both elegant and lively. Hope everyone enjoys and don’t forget to follow!
Main Products Used:
Kat Von D Shade & Light Palette
Nature Republic Flower Eye Shadow (in PK106 I believe)
3CE Lip Marker in Crimson Pink
K-Palette One Day Magic Liquid Liner in Black
The main color scheme for the eyes and face (contouring) is warm brown, cool brown, and a pop of rose.
The key points for achieving this FOTD would be to focus on light contouring below the cheekbones and on the nose bridge, as well as creating a small wing with eyeliner to add an edge to an otherwise soft, muted color palette. To keep things elegant, I went with straight Korean-style brows with my NYX micro-brow pencil. The gradient lip adds a nice, but not overwhelming, pop of life.
Voila! Here is the finished look – the bright outdoor lighting washed out the eyeshadow a little. Meh…
See you guys soon~~
