Today, I’m going to review some PrettyGirl lip products that were kindly sent to me by makeup artist Christina Flach. All links will lead to the PrettyGirl website. Let’s dive in! Swatches are at the end of the post.
Lip Gloss Treatment in Darling and Soul Mates:
I’m reviewing these two lip glosses at once, because in terms of color/pigmentation, they honestly don’t differ from each other that much. Darling is a clear gloss meant to go over any lipstick color, while Soul Mates is a pale, translucent baby pink with subtle silver and pink glitter. These lip glosses are quite moisturizing and have almost no scent, which is a big plus in my book. The con is that they are really not as long lasting as they claim to be – after just one hour of literally sitting on my chair working (no eating or drinking or talking), the gloss faded.

Lip Gloss Treatment in Baby Love:
This has got to be the most disappointing product for me, and it lay in the smell. As soon as you twist the product open, a mix of overly fruity and chemical-like scents just attacked my nose. The color itself is quite pretty, but honestly I couldn’t bear in on my lips because it tasted like rubbing alcohol.
Lipstick in Private Jet:
Now to the opposite side of the spectrum, my favorite product! I’m so happy Christina sent this lipstick to me, as I was just thinking about exploring more nude colors for autumn. Private Jet is the perfect sophisticated, neutral, semi-matte brown that really compliments my skin tone. I stains my lips, which is a good thing, and fades quite elegantly. Even if I reapply throughout the day, it doesn’t dry out my lips that much (not surprising given the antioxidants, vitamin E and BHT in the lipstick). The only minor thing is, again, the scent. It has a kind of musty, generic lipstick smell, which kind of lingers on the lips after application. Definitely would recommend this shade an everyday fall lipstick color.
And that’s all folks!
